Case Study - How using Clouduni.fi Unifi hosting has improved our MSP offering

When we started offering Unifi network solutions we were using cloudkeys, hosting on onsite servers or at times even desktops. As we grew we had around 70 sites and it became unmanageable. We struggled to keep up with the updates, cloudkeys would fall offline and we were spending too much time on it.

Reading up on Unifi cloud hosting we learnt alot about cloud hosting the unifi controller. We toyed with hosting it ourselves, but some research found us some providers. There are variations on service offering and pricing, but after contact with we settled on Clouduni.fi based on the packages they offer which allows us to grow. Most others were a bit restrictive, or had big jumps which would mean we were paying for far more than we required.

We have now migrated around 60 of our sites with the remaining to be done once we get to site next as the controllers are offline for various reasons.

The Clouduni.fi team have afforded us excellent support on European timezome. Most others focus on US timezome and do not have much flexibility beyond it. We did have a client in USA we needed to migrate and the Clouduni.fi team setup a support session out of hours to allow us to do it seamlessly. I think it was 3am for the tech (UK time).

The team are now our 3rd line support for Unifi and we no longer need to trawl Ubiquiti forums.
