Case Study - Veterinary Surgery with no access to existing controller
A London UK based veterinary surgery contacted us after their IT company went bust leaving them with a network with no controller to manage it. They needed to make changes to accomodate a new x-ray machine which needs to be on the network. The supplier recommended this machine sit on a VLAN which the site were unable to do with no access to the controller.
With some onsite hands we were able to establish the PPPoE broadband info and the existing IP scope. Out of business hours we had a member of staff reset the USG-Pro and using a laptop, teamviewer and 4G hotspot reconfigured it. We then did the same with the Unifi switch and access points.
After only 30mins the entire site was back up and running. We have now configured VLANS for network equipment, office equipment, the medical x-ray machines, and setup a guest network which was not present before.
The client is happy to have full access to their controller and will be using Clouduni.fi ongoing for their Unifi hosting and support.
